Would you consider this better then the Konova slider?
Hi, Dave. I haven’t used this slider enough to really pin it against the Konova. I would consider your max payload and decide from there. When properly used, the Varavon stands up as a slider that will execute smooth and steadied shots.

This is off subject but I’ve always been a PC user and am looking to convert to apple. Do you think there would there be a significant price drop on their computers (Macbook pro, air, iMac 2011) with the upcoming apple 2012 new release updates this summer?
Wow, this certainly is off topic! Ha.. Apple products tend to retain their value. I wouldn’t expect much of a price drop in 2011 products in 2012.
What type of external or add-on’s are you using to maintain manual focus? …with this slider.

Hi Jacky, did you get the Slidecam Lite 600 or 800?
Slidecam Lite 600 is 600mm (24inches), weighs 1.25kg (2.7 lbs.), is 30mm 1.2 inches in width max load is 9kg or 19.8 lbs.
Slidecam Lite 800 is 800mm (32inches), weighs 1.5kg (3.3lbs), is 30mm 1.2 inches in width max load is 9kg or 19.8 lbs.
Slidecam Mini is 1 meter long, weighs 4 kg, 26mm in height, 60mm long and can support a max load of 58kg.

I don’t usually buy stuff from eBay. Call me paranoid, but if Olivia And Emm at Cheesycam mention it, it’s worth considering. Enough for me to order one while they’re at a discount…and with free shipping too!
It’s the same length as my Manfrotto 190More tripod. It should all strap to my pack together for mobile slider goodness.
Hey Dave, eBay is scary at first, I know haha. Be sure to always check the seller feedback first. I also never suggest sellers that have bad reviews. eBay can really save you some money and once you familiarize yourself with it, the once uncharted territory won’t be so frightening, promise
