The NEW Prime Video Shoulder Rig Kit by Photography & Cinema
The Prime Video Shoulder Rig Kit by Photography & Cinema is a solid foundation for video shooters looking to start out in 15mm Rail systems. The Prime Rig Kit can be configured as a basic lightweight camera stabilizer or it can be configured into a more advanced shoulder rig for supporting LED Lighting, Microphones, LCD Monitors, Portable Audio Recorders, Follow Focus Systems, and more. The rods, clamps, handles, and shoulder pad are based around industry standard 15mm Rod systems which means you can continue to add on optional accessories from P&C or other manufacturers as you advance your build.

The long handles are important to prevent arm fatigue during operation, and the unique Shoulder / Chest Hybrid Pad can quickly be adjusted to transform the rig from a shoulder stabilizer to a gun-stock style Video rig.

For mounting additional accessories, the Prime Video Rig Kit includes two P&C 15mm Swiss Rods ($65 dollar value).
Prime Video Rig Kit Includes:
(1) Dual Rod Camera Mounting Plate w/ Tripod Mount
(2) 10″ 15mm Rails
(2) 6″ 15mm Rails

What type or brand of follow-focus do you use or recommend with this shoulder rig setup? Seems like a follow-focus would be tough to use in conjunction with the shoulder rig.
Any input would be appreciated.
@Martin Here is a Follow Focus by Kamerar that is compatible with this Rig Kit. F-33 Follow Focus
Hello Olivia. What would you recommend for counter weight on this rig?
Hello Olivia. Is it possible to use on this rig the F33 Follow Focus if the camera (60D) has a battery grip?
@Alex You will probably need to get larger lens rings to be able to do this.
Thank you very much…unfortunately I already have the cinema lens (35mm, 85mm) from Samyang. If is possible can you recommend another rig in the same price range (one to accommodate the camera with the grip)?
Thank you again!
Hey Olivia, will either this rig or the ephoto one work with the Fotga DP500II Follow Focus? Or do you recommend I get the Kamerar cage and mount the follow focus to that ( obviously wouldnt have a shoulder rig but there’s a trade off)?
@Michael Yes the Fortga DP500II FF can mount on the rails of the Prime Rig, however there is no guarantee that it will work on every camera + lens combo.
