SKIER O-Ring Rig Kit Fits the Blackmagic Cinema Camera
Currently there are only 3 of these Skier O-Ring Rigs available on eBay. Hard to come by these days, the O-Ring has been a popular rig amongst DSLR shooters and hasn’t quite been readily available in the past months. Below is a review I did on the O-Ring back in September of 2011.
In trying to find an easy and light weight cage for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, we discovered that the O-Ring Cage that has been sitting around the studio fits the BMCC with just enough clearance for a lens. The kit selling on eBay does NOT come with a base plate or 15mm rods, so you’ll have to buy those separately. Below you can find some photos I snapped showing the Skier O-Ring Rig with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera.
Kit contents:
1 x Skier DSLR O-Ring Support with Top Handle
Follow Focus, Rails, Mattebox and Baseplate are not included in this kit

I wonder if this is the same company? I liked how this rig looked when it first came out but it was pretty pricey. I noticed that nobody bought when originally on ebay.
Hi Rob
Its the same company… They mainly sell in the far east but I’ve been trying to raise the profile in Europe and the US.
I’m selling them at the moment here shop.nomadvision.co.uk and ship globally.
Many thanks
Ibrahim
Hey Olivia! Love your videos! I have a question for you. I tried googling it but couldn’t come up with an answer. Is there a reason your crew always shoots in 720p?
Thanks in advance!
@Eric Hi and thank you. We don’t, we always shoot in 1080p. Where do you get that we’re shooting in 720p?
Hmm whenever I try to change the quality of you videos via the Youtube HD button 720p is the maximum it allows.
@Eric Oh, yes.. on Youtube I only upload to 720p. All of my videos exist on Vimeo at 1080p
