Sirui Tripods – Photo Plus Expo 2012

Jeff from Sirui shows me some of their popular portable, compact travel tripods. We go over the T Series, the TX Series and the N Series, which has a convertible monopod option. Last we take a look at the R Series tripod by Sirui- the mother of them all. This heavy duty tripod can support around 40 lbs! It can be converted into a video tripod by attaching a video head.

No you definitely don’t need a btraety grip to hold a camera on a tripod. The btraety grip is like having a backup btraety. Also, it will add weight and bulk to your camera because it has a larger btraety grip. But, you may want to investigate the use of ball heads (like Acratech’s) with your tripod to allow easy rotation. Or, an L-bracket (or plate) to make it easier to switch from portrait to landscape oriented shots.
