Mark at the Panasonic Lumix booth shows us two of their newest lenses, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 Asph. Lens for Micro 4/3 and the Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 Lumix G Vario Zoom Lens.
Mark explains to us why these lenses are equivalent to the popular full frame 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses. Due to the sensor size on micro four thirds systems like the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera, you need to double the focal length of what is indicated on the lens. The fast and constant f/2.8 aperture on both of these lenses are also what makes them so appealing to the masses. Mark also tells us about Panasonic’s new 42mm f/1.2 lens that should be surfacing to the public sometime soon, although not in time for NAB 2013- bummer.24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm, 85mm f/1.2, camera, GH2, GH3, Lumix, m4/3, Micro Four Thirds, Panasonic, Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 Lumix G Vario Zoom Lens, Panasonic Lumix 42mm f/1.2, Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 Asph.
