What would you recommend for someone looking for a follow focus that has A/B hard stops?

  • Rob S. says:

One thing I have to say about Kamerar is they’re a pretty responsive company. Pretty decent customer service in regards to their product and returns. Would be interesting to see how this works.

Can you do a review with this? Not that much Kamerar reviews out there.. Been interested with their items lately but I don’t know how good they are.

  • wade says:

Is this based on a Hugo gearbox or is it a direct gear design like the new Gini follow focus? How much free-play (slop) is there in the gear?

    • Olivia says:

@Wade The FF-3 is not based on a Huco gearbox. I will do a video review shortly that will address your other questions. :) Will most likely go live next week.

    Hi,

I did own the Gini FF which was too big and too heavy for me. It was built like an tank and working very smooth. I sold it for 299 Dollars.

Just received the Kamerar FF and its like the little brother of the Gini. Its is much lighter in weight and it runs less smooth…..BUT…..it is better as the 2 chinese FF I owned about the last 3 Years for the same price.

My Kamerar FF had some issues to run uneven and untighten/tighten (don thigten it too much….I think just slight tightening works better) of all Parts fixed it. It runs good and for the price of 99 Dollars….it is much better than all the chinese FF up to 150 Dollars.

I like it. The gear ring is made of rubbery plastik and its to soft in my opinion – but it works.

    Summarize:
I am happy with it. The quality is ok. The gearbox is definitely not a Huco Box and much higher in quality. Is it perfect? No, but for 99 Dollars its is very good.
