LaCie CloudBox

The LaCie CloudBox is going to set you back $199.99 for 100GB. Included is a year of online storage — AES encrypted with daily backups. Once the year of storage is up, you can just use it as a standard external backup drive, or renew your contract. No word yet on how much that will cost.

While I can’t imagine one would use this as their main storage unit (for all the thousands of images, MP3s, files, videos, etc.) The CloudBox seems like a rather efficient option as a dual on- and off-site backup. Apple has given us MobileMe and soon iCloud.. with options like these out there, does LaCie’s CloudBox stand a chance? I guess it just depends on what you need.

This is a great tablet and the screen and operating system are very responsive. The speaker on the tablet is surprisingly loud. I wasn’t expecting the sound to be so loud during my movie. Do not be taken back by the Chinese language of some of the programs. As soon as I turned on my tablet it was in English and the only program that I could not understand was a device Manager that was also available pre-installed on the tablet in English.

  • Ok so I am thinking about removing my blog from Tumbler and get it to a WordPress blog. I think this is a wordpress blog right? If it is, may I ask where you got the theme? Thanks a bunch!
