Konova Slider Manual Crank Upgrade Kit Available
Konova just announced the availability of their Manual Crank upgrade kit for Konova Sliders. This should work with the smaller K3 and larger K5 sliders assuming you have the new version adjustable legs. If you have an earlier version Konova slider, there is an upgrade kit available for the new legs. Check out the Konova slider and upgrade kits on their website (click here).

Konova Slider Manual Crank System Upgrade Kit

Awesome! Thanks, Olivia!
I was thinking in buying one K3 with this kit, i liked the crank in the videos, but i think it´s a bit pricey. i think i will buy only the slider and made a DIY crack or motorized mod.
I have the slider and will probably buy the crank kit.. The motor isn’t out yet but was thinking of using a telescope motor.
Does anybody know if the 701HDV is versatile enough to use with a 60D on rails? I just got my Konova K5 today and need a head that’s sturdy enough and can be used vertically, etc. I like the handle on the 701HDV but I dunno how flexible it is.
Hi Daniel, the 701HDV is sufficient to use with that setup. We use that head all the time, I think you’ll be pleased with it!
Hey there! Curious if Konova was at NAB this year and/or if anyone knows if they sell longer track? I’ve got the 32″, but it’s so modular, I would love the option of just adding a new track when I need it.
Thanks!
Konova was indeed at NAB this year. As far as I know, they do not have additional add-ons that act as extensions for the sliders. Are you finding that you need more than 32″?
Thanks for the response. Sometimes I wish I had a bit longer of a slider when I don’t have a lot of stuff in the foreground to enhance the sense of movement. It seems you could easily detach and re-apply the end caps and legs to a different track on the Konova if you wanted a longer run.
Olivia,
I thought the video you did was great. I’m thinking about getting the 47 inch slider, do you think that I will need something this long? I’m worried that the rail may wobble a little bit because of the long length, do you see this as a problem with the Konova slider? Finally, is the K5 worth the extra money over the K3?
Thank you so much for all of your help!
Chris, I think the K5 is worth the upgrade but we don’t have any sliders that area longer than 32″ inches. The slider might be strong at 47″ but you will need a more stable platform to use it elevated. It might not be worth going that long for a slider and instead consider a floor track dolly.
