Habbycam DSLR Cage and Matte Box
At CES / PA 2012, Richard from Habbycam shows me Habbycam’s upcoming DSLR Accessories Cage and mattebox. Richard tells me this entire unit will retail, with a follow focus, for around $300. It includes a cheese plate for mounting accessories, a 15mm industry standard rod system, a matte box which includes a rotating 4X4 filter and a 4X5 filter, and lens shade. What you see is a prototype build, and not the actual materials that will be used.
The MatteBox is not available yet, but the new Habbycam DSLR Accessories Cage can already be found online at B&H along with other HabbyCam products. (click here to find HabbyCam Stabilizers, Cages, Jibs).

Any word on when this will be available? I’d also like to get a closer look at the follow focus on this rig.

Hey, I’ve looked all over and can’t find this rig (with included matte box and follow focus – $299) anywhere…not even on their site. I can only find the cage itself. Did Habbycam decide not to release this full package after all, or is it just WAY behind schedule?

@Cafe Silencio I haven’t heard much from Habbycam. I think you’re best bet is to contact them directly. They’re a very small company so they should respond fairly quickly.
