GoPro HERO 3 Low Light Test with GoPro HERO 2 and Sony HDR-AS15
In the video above we do a quick test to see how the GoPro HERO 3 Black Edition action camera performs in Low Light conditions when compared to the GoPro HERO 2 and the new Sony HDR-AS15 . We set up some items from around the studio to show image quality and overall performance in low light conditions. I used two softbox lights and gradually brought the light down until they were both completely off. The GoPro HERO 3 was shot in 2.7K resolution while the GoPro HERO 2 and the Sony HDR-AS15 were both shot at 1080p. From the footage, the Sony HDR-AS15 performed best in the lowest light. I do still think, however, that the GoPro HERO 3 Black Edition provides the most in terms of overall performance when taking into consideration the amount of money you pay for the unit.

Nice test, I’ve been thinking about buying the Hero 3 for a while now to film my students at the kickboxing gym.
Just wondering, what is Larvets and Crickettes? … Funky breakfast?
@Bjorn They’re a novelty haha.. I get them whenever I visit Hawaii. They actually don’t taste too bad.
In Norway we use larves for fish bait.. I think I still will be using them purpose :p
By the way, I like your pronunciation when you say Røde (considering microphones). The Ø in Norway is pronounced [ɜː], sounds the same when you say ie. bird, the i- turns into an Ø. The word in Norwegian means Reds as in plural for the color.
Anyways, thanks for great review of geek stuff. The Zacuto VF just arrived and a Gini Rig Extreeme 17 is due to be delivered tomorrow by DHL
