How much does the GF3 sensor differ from the GH2 sensor? I know that the GF3 is approx. 12 MP …while the GH2 is approx. 16 MP, but both have the same dimensions. I didn’t know if the sensor was completely different or if it was the same sensor and had only been manipulated via embedded firmware.
Even with the mono audio, the GF3 would make a nice secondary camera …especially with one of the available patches and settings (hacks).
@Marty I’m sorry I’m getting to this comment so late! The Panasonic GH3 sports a brand new 16.05-megapixel Live MOS sensor. Panasonic designed this sensor to minimize the amount of noise introduced in low light situations and suppress moire (according to Panasonic). Above all that, the GH3 also has a new Venus Engine that is said to help surpass noise even further across the entire focusing range when shooting in high sensitivity.
