Fotodiox ND and Circular Polarizer Filters for Nikon Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S

Nikon’s beautiful Nikon 14-24mm F/2.8G wide angle lens is an exotic creature all on its own. One noticeable feature on this diverse lens is the rounded glass element at the front. This bubbled surface made threading a flat ND or Circular Polarizing filter onto the lens impossible prior to solutions like this one from Fotodiox. I was able to see this filter holder at PMA 2012 this year, as seen in the video above. It works by creating a space, by way of a collar, to house the rounded glass with a thread at one end for fitting a filter. A UV filter could also be used to protect the front glass element on this pricey piece.
