The Feisol PB-70 Panning Base is a simple addition that solves the need for a panning base in situations where one is needed but not provided natively with the gear you’re using. Inexpensive jibs and cranes are a perfect example of when a pan base like this would be handy.
Adding the Feisol PB-70 Panning Base to Video Mini Jibs and Cranes that do not have a pan base can quickly upgrade your setup for an easier and more efficient workflow. Even for use on the very popular Manfrotto 561BHDV (discontinued) that did not come with pan control, the PB-70 Panning Base is a simple solution to introducing this function. The Manfrotto Monopod now comes with the 700 Series Head that does include the pan feature.
The <Feisol PB-70 Panning Base feels well built and has a smooth rotation with a large turn style locking knob. There is no drag control and it is not as smooth as a fluid head would be for video. For panorama photography, however, the panning is smooth enough to achieve a consistant pan. There are degree marks that can be easily read and the base has a 3/8″ female thread.camera, DSLR, feisol, feisol PB-70 panning base, pan base, panning base, panoramic photography, photography, video
