Is this the same thing? CLICK HERE

If so, then it’s actually cheaper straight off ephoto’s site. Thanks for this find though, looks like a decent rig.

I bought one today. Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks for posting this.

    • Ricky says:

Crazy. The reason I was posting that link is because it was coming up as $79.99. It seems that they have changed it.

Dang I should have snagged it when I saw that price. Oh well.

One of my biggest struggles going from a video camera to a DSLR is changing focus without any unwanted camera jitter, or movement. Does this sort of rig help that in any way? It seems like you still have to move your hand from the handles to the follow focus, which would cause a little wobble. I’m trying to find the best thing to solve that issue. Am I the only one?

      • Olivia says:

Mike, the more mass you add to the camera the less jitter you will have in your footage. If you plan to move around you should also invest in lenses with image stabilization. Tamron has some great lenses with VC if you cannot afford the Canon with Image Stabilization.

Received the rig last night. Very light weight, the weighted adjustment off the back of the shoulder support is awkward to say the least. All the pieces fit together and we’ve used a JAG rig before, for the price, and a little modifying here and there, this setup will work out just fine. I personally don’t care for the follow focus setup on this, but again- the price point is so low for the value that this is a must get for a starter rig in my opinion.

Olivia, thanks for sharing tips & deals. We’re excited to see how this setup works! (I also purchased the ePhoto Matte Box to accompany)

Hey Olivia this is an awesome priced rig. I wanted to know I have the rebel T3i would something like this work for me I really would like an option where I’m not using the glidecam since that gets your arm working after working with it for a while to have that simple support to carry around the camera and just film like in a convention where say I’m interviewing someone or just filming me and some friends with audio walking around.

      Hi Olivia!
im thinking of buying a rig, would you suggest me this one, over the one from photography and cinema? HERE. I don’t know what to do, since this one used to cost 600 and now is so cheap, and looks quite plastic made…. but the follow focus intrigues me… On the other side the rig from photographyandcinema looks much better made and i dont know what to think… any suggestions?

      • Marci says:

actually the rig i was talking about isnt the same you are reviewing here… its this HERE

        • Olivia says:

@Marci The rig you linked me to is made by the same company with a lot of the same parts in a different configuration. I can’t find your original question in my comment queue, can you resend?

      • Olivia says:

@Marci Found your question! The P&C Rig is very well made and the pieces are solid, versatile and will last you for a long time. I personally really enjoy this rig. I’d suggest it.
