Hi Olivia, you guys are doing a great job.
which comes whith a fluid head
Part of our next shopping list for our Canon EOS Rebel T4i Digital Camera and Canon XF305 Professional Camcorder is:
standard start-up budjet
the Manfrotto 561B Fluid Video Monopod W/Head
the Manfrotto 755CX3 MagFiber Video Tripod Legs with Rapid Center Column for mobility
the Manfrotto 546B Pro Video Tripod w/Mid-level Spreader leg for studio,
we will be getting the Varavon Slidecam S 1200
but cant decide between the Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 Photo-Movie Tripod Head With Q5 QR Plate and the Manfrotto 502HD Pro Video Head with Flat Base (3/8″-16 Connection).
can you do a video comparison of the two. I question the stability of the Q5.
we could go with the 504 or 509, but they are just too big and rather put the £300 somewhere else. like a 75mm bowl adaptor and another bowl stuio tripod…
we do church sermons, weddings documenteries so quick set-up and light tracel is esentual.
help needed…
Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 or 502AH
@Allan for your Canon EOS Rebel T4i Digital Camera and Canon XF305 Professional Camcorder, I would suggest the the Manfrotto 502HD Pro Video Head with Flat Base (3/8″-16 Connection) over the Manfrotto MH055M8-Q5 Photo-Movie Tripod Head With Q5 QR Plate. Since I do not have either head, I can’t do a video compare. As for your question regarding the stability of the Q5, I don’t know first hand, however looking at the style of the head itself, I wouldn’t suggest it over the 502 for video. You’ll likely get smoother pans and tilts with the 502. And I highly suggest getting a Manfrotto 438 Compact Leveling Head – Ball Camera Leveler if you do not have a bowl mount tripod. I hope this helps!
thanks a lot that makes sence after having tried the 502 at BVExpo. We were also looking for a reason not to get the 190xprob 556b. i like the idea of the 438 for transporting reasons.
Seperate matter:
Is the Varavon Slider S better than the Kpnpva K5 as they are quite similar and why?(personal opnion..)
thanks again, your videos help a lot of “nofilmschool” views keep up the great work.
@Allan I would not say one slider is better than the other. I have used both Konova and Varavon extensively and I really enjoy both. I’d suggest taking a look at what each has to offer and fitting that to what it is that you specifically are looking for.
