I have a few Canon FD lenses and needed to use them with my GH2 so I go this adaptor ring from Amazon. It’s inexpensive and allows my micro 4/3 camera to be compatible with the lovely Canon lenses.

hi, I was wondering if you could help me with my little dilemma. you see.. I bought myself a Lumix GF2 along with the 14mm pancake lens.. I was wondering what lens would you recommend i should buy, in order to take telephoto shots.. I asked a friend, and she said that the zoom range is useless when i buy from the panasonic store.. and I’m wondering why.. what would be the best lens that I should buy wether the lens that is specifically made for micro four thirds or even if i have to buy an adapter for that specific lens (e.g. canon FD lens) I really don’t consider my self tech savvy, so i would appreciate if you could reply :) THANK YOU SO MUCH :) )

Mariel, purchasing a Canon or Nikon lens would work but you will A) need an adaptor ring and B) will lose all electronic communication with your camera. So, if this is an AF lens, it won’t matter because you will only be able to focus manually. Purchasing a telephoto lens that is compatible with a micro 4/3 camera (GF2) might be your best bet, however both are options. Depending on what you’re looking to spend, this Lumix isn’t too expensive but also comprehensive for what you’re looking for and guess what, you can keep your AF capabilities!

  • You’ll also notice the focus “teeth” matches the teeth on the most follow focuses, like fd lenses were made to be used with a ff. Ymmv. ;)
