Benro AD71FK5 Video Fluid Head Tripod Kit Review
OTech and cheesycam reader, Brennan Robideaux, recently bought the Benro AD71FK5 Video Fluid Head Tripod Kit after seeing it featured on Cheesycam.com. Brennan shot a video review of the specs and gave us some example shots at the end of his video (thanks, Bren). The one noticeable qualm with the AD71FK5 was the quick release knob. Brennan mentioned it being a bit of a tight fit when unscrewing the plate. This may depend on which camera you’re using and for what this fluid head tripod kit offers, I think it’s a small compromise for the price and performance.
Benro’s implementation of the Benro AD71FK5 Video Fluid Head Tripod Kit is their break into the world of video. The example shots Brennan included at the end of his review were smooth and he hasn’t reported any negative feedback as of yet. I haven’t gotten my hands on this tripod so I’ll rely on readers like Mr. Robideaux until then.

Thanks for the feature O, I’ll be sure to answer any questions that are posted here, on the YouTube video or on my blog.

One of the two Amazon reviews mentions that the legs are only made for the Benro head. Is that true, or can you attach other equipment on the sticks?
This tripod has a 60mm bowl mount, meaning, only 60mm bowl mount heads will be compatible. So goes for the legs. =)
What is the manufacturer and model of the pole you are using for this video ( HERE )?
Also, do you also have a pole / steadicam combo that you would recommend for the GoPro Hero2 ?
Hi Kurt, the pole is a simple painter’s pole and we attached it using a few items from Photography&Cinema. This Palo Alto gives you a 1/4 20″ male thread that you can then attach a friction arm or ball head directly onto. This newer version which will be release mid Feb is specific for the pole I linked you to. =)
