My friend, Chris from Motorz (an excellent show for all of you gear heads out there), recently told me about Teleprompt+ with Airturn. Teleprompt+ is an app that turns your iPad into a teleprompter. Teleprompt+ aims to cut your expenses by giving you free add-on apps for your iPhone and iPod Touch that turns these devices into remotes for your iPad. One issue I’ve run up against when using a handheld remote with a teleprompter is the presence of it in my shot. Having a remote in-hand while delivering on camera lines totally destroys the shot.

This is where Airturn comes in. Airturn can be used in conjunction with Teleprompt+ to act as a bluetooth connected foot pedal that controls your iPad, ultimately acting as a wireless remote for your teleprompter. Typically musicians use this device to turn the pages on their music books without having to use their occupied hands. Airturn has multiple uses as a page turner and Teleprompt+ adds to that list with its syncing capabilities.
